The rules for admission in first year junior college is as follows:

Students passing Std.X examination of Maharashtra state SSC board or an equivalent examination are eligible for admissions to FYJC classes. Marks scored at this examination shall be the sole basis for admissions FYJC classes. Student scoring a minimum of 40% marks in the science subjects at the qualifying exam are eligible for admissions. There is no such condition for admissions to FYJC Arts/Commerce classes.
