Nonetheless, since the ranking Cut Off for NIT Suratkhal will be released with the opening and closing ranks for all engineering categories and programmes, the question of getting a seat is totally dependent on your result. The Cut Off will be released category wise for each programme offered and if your scores are less than the minimum Cut Off for JEE Main, then, unfortunately, the chances of securing a seat are very low.
For your reference, the Cut Off for JEE Main for Computer Science and Engineering in the Genral Category was 666 (opening) and 2940 (closing); OBC - 598 (opening0 and 950 (closing); ST - 35 (opening) and 249 (closing); SC - 165 (opening) and 538 (closing).

To get admission in NIT Surathkal, a student will have to appear and qualifly for the JEE Mains examinations and will have to score a minimum of 75% in 12th (65% for SC and ST) or if you are in the 20% in your board in Class 12, then also you are eligible for admission at NIT Surathkal. Also, you should a Science stream student in 12th to become eligible for a seat at NIT Surathkal.
