I hope you are doing good. I would like to tell you that you can definately give both the exams as they are no restrictions on it, no. of exams have to give is totally dependent on you . My advise is you should start preparing for jee mains first you will land in a level where you have covered most of syallbus of mht cet with good level and you dont have to prepare seperately.
