In order to pay fees of cmat there is a payment system stated on their website.  Let me tell you that process.

Payment process.

Payment can be done via two modes: Mode i) ONLINE Payment: You can select ONLINE PAYMENT mode and then do the payment using Credit card / Debit card / Net Banking. Mode ii) CASH Payment in SBI bank: You can select this option to pay by CASH at any of the designated SBI bank branch.

So payment through paytm is not mentioned there and I will suggest you not to use paytm for payment.

Hi Indu, As I can see, the instructions say that you can pay online using Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking. PayTm is not mentioned here.
