By taking an exam in Gate XE you can do M.Tech in many fields like Earth Science, Material Science, Atmospheric, Oceanic and Nano Science etc. Some of the top IIT's and NIT's and IISc also take students based on XE paper.Some of the colleges that take admission through GATE XE are:

• IIT's & NIT's
• Tezpur University
• Central University Of Jharkhand

To get a seat in IIT's or NIT's you need to get a very good score in this exam. The minimum qualifying cutoff for GATE XE is:

GEN-32.51%

OBC, SC, ST-29.26%
