Hello Vijay Shree,
Yes you can prepare for JEE mains by studying in college. If you want to get good IIT and nit from JEE, then you should have to do it. Don't waste your year. Get admission in any college and prepare as well for JEE mains and advance. Once you get good rank then again start you study there. It's a good option for you.
