Candidates who have a pass in their higher secondary with a background in science are eligible to apply. They are also required to have a basic knowledge in subjects like Physiology and Biology in addition to Anatomy.

There are a variety of colleges in our country that offers students graduate as well as diploma courses in radiology. Those students who seek to become Radiologists are required to write an entrance exam to gain admittance into these courses. Some of those exams are - NIMHANS Entrance exam in Radiology, Bharath Scans Radiology Entrance exam, Madurai Kamraj University Entrance Exam for Radiography & Imaging Technology and the KLE University Radiography (Radio-Diagnosis) entrance exam.
