Can I take any subject as optional in IAS exam after any graduation.? Or can I have to select the same subject that I studied in UG course

dear aspirant,hope you are doing well.now coming to your question,yes you can choose any subject for the civil services examination of your choice,it is not necessary to choose the subject which you have studied in your UG course.The selection of subject is solely on the basis of examinee.

Hello aspirant,

Yes, ofcourse you can choose any subject as an option for UPSC/IAS irrespective of the subjects you had in your graduation.

Supposingly, you had science subjects during graduation however, you can still choose history (for example) as an optional subject.
