yes you definitely can pursue Btech in IT branch after completing your diploma in mechanical engg.
But for that you will have to full fill the eligibility criteria of any University in which you are going to take admission, and another thing is that you can take admission laterally by having a accepted rank in the lateral entry exam of University.
