Xii standsrd leaving certificate can not be used as nationality certificate. Nationality certificate will be issued based on the Indian passport and can be given to the Indian passport holders only.

Nationality certificate is certificate of nativity. It will be used as a proof, for your residence the particular country whereas Domicile certificate is state level certificate valid  as a proof for resident in a particular state.

Documents required for nationality certificate

A copy of foreign passport

A copy of valid residential permit

Adhaar card

Evidence of date of birth of parents

Declaration of oath of allegiance as specified in the form to be made before the offices specified in the citizenship rules 1955 ie collector/DM/DC
