Yes you can use both the scores that is jee and mhcet to apply for cap rounds 

This procedure will be held while you apply for the cap round and based on it you will get the college.

While opting for cap round make sure that all the data you have given is true because false data cannot help out while the verification of cap round

During the cap round if you get the college you want for and added as the first preference and thus same follwed by DTE, then you have to take admission in that case.
