Yes you can wear plain cotton pants it must not have any big prints, buttons , pockets

The dress code is strict you should the rules published by NTA some of the rules are mentioned .

The Notified Rules includes:
Light Clothes with half Sleeves.
The Cloths should not have any big prints, buttons, brooch, batches, etc.
Footwear should not have high heels, sports shoes, etc.
Female applicants must avoid any type of jewelry like earrings, nose rings, rings, pendants, necklaces, bracelet or anklets.
Metal detectors may cause an unnecessary hassle if the metal is found on the person.
Also remove your kada/bangle aur dhaaga from hand before going to examination.

As per the COVID 19 safety guidelines, applicants must wear a mask and gloves.
