YOu can wear anything for the NEET exam. If you wish to wear a short you can do that too because they are conducting NEET to evaluate you on the basis of your knowldege and not your appearance or fashion sense.

NEET is very strict regarding dress code. In many centers, students had to take off full sleeve shirts which were pointed as inappropriate and against the dress code. So its wise to stick to the code and dress accordingly because we do not know how strict checking will be done at the exam centers.

It would be better if you avoid jeans and wear light trousers. Big buttons should be avoided. You may wear half-sleeve shirt or t-shirt but not full sleeved shirts. Also make sure your clothing is simple, light and without any embroidery. You should not wear shoes. Slippers and sandals are allowed.
