There is no provision of lateral entry in diploma (engineering) course for 12th passed candidates. There is provision of lateral entry in B.Tech. for diploma holders candidates. As you have already done 12th with PCM, you should not take admission in B.Tech. After completion of 12th, admission in diploma will be completely wastage of time and money. You should appear for the state engineering entrance exam for admission to B.Tech. course.If you complete B.Tech. with more than 65% marks, you will be eligible to apply for almost all government services (depending upon your stream of engineering).
