Yes ,actually oc students only can apply for ebc certificate.

For other castes like bc or sc or st they will be provided with their caste certificate.

And for oc students, ebc certificate will be provided which means economically backward class certificate.

Sorry to say, but unfortunately you are not eligible to apply for EBC certificate.

As far as ebc certificate is concerned, you are eligible to apply for an EBC Certificate , only if you belong to any of the castes which are identified as either

• SC ( Scheduled Castes),
• ST (Scheduled Tribes), or ,
• OBC(Other Backward Classes).

And, as OC ( Other Category ) does not come under any of the above stated castes, you are not eligible to apply for EBC certificate.
