Dear Student,

Greetings.

MA in Journalism and Mass Communication is a  three year duration, post-graduate course offered in the domain of mass media at university-level in India. As per the eligibilty criteria for the course to get into, Candidates should have passed class 12 with atleast 45% to 50% from a recognised board of education.Candidates should have completed graduation degree and diploma respectively with at least 50% marks. So, I must say that you can easily persue MA in Journalism and Mass Coummunication after doing BA(hons) in English.

You can go for the following best univeristies for the same:

  • Institute of Mass Communication and Media Technology, Kurukshetra
  • Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi
  • Jagan Nath University, Jaipur
  • Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh
  • Institute of Media Management and Technology, Dehradun
  • National Institute of Mass Communication and Journalism, Ahmedabad

Wish you all the best for youe future!

Surely, a person with Bachelor's degree in English can go on to do Masters degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. Moreover, students with a graduation degree in english already have a good command over language and if they do Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication then it would teach them how to use their language and grammer skills in writing news article and would help them to form a great journalistic stories.
