If the board from where you have completed 12th education is valid and recognized, then definitely you can go ahead with higher studies in regular mode or distance whatever interests you, for instance even in national level exams as that of JEE Mains or NEET, those from open board such as NIOS are eligible to apply and this remains also valid when you apply for government exams as well. In case, you want to go for regular mode in graduation, do check out the eligibility, especially if you've had gap years, because there are many colleges which do have criteria of taking students passed out up to a particular time frame only.
