Hey Nithin Agarwal,
For Physics only NCERT is not enough to deal with ,even refer the following books to write a better exam,
1. Concepts of Physics by H.C. Verma (includes both volume 1 and 2)
2. Complete Physics for JEE Main 2018 by Irodov
Even for Chemistry deal with even other books not only NCERT. Here are the following chemistry books which are useful for JEE Mains,
1.IIT Chemistry by O.P. Tandon
2.Physical Chemistry by P.Bahdur
Dear Nitin,
For jee mains according to my point of view NCERT for physics will not be enough but for chemistry it is must. If you will deeply check mains chemistry previous year papers with chemistry NCERT you will find that many sentences given in the book are asked as it is in the paper in the form of objectives.
But this is not seen in the case of physics moreover to this physics is an application based subject it cannot be understood by simple mere theory.
Added to it for physics you should study deeply you can have the books like of authors DC Panday , HC Verma , etc for physics.
I hope you got my point if u still have any doubt in this or any other topic please do share.
Thank you
NCERT helps you to make your concepts clear and to build your fundamentals strong.
With the help of NCERT books you can easily qualify for JEE Main exam but to score good marks you can refer other books as well like you can go for HC Verma for physics and OP Tandon for chemistry.
Make sure you also solve previous year papers and complete mock test series for your practice and to work on your time management.
Good Luck!!
