Board exams are nothing but centralised exams conducted by the board your school is affiliated to. In school exams you are competing against a smaller group of students whereas in a board exam you are competing against larger number of students.

In a board exam students are generally allocated centre in a different school than their own. You are given an admit card/hall ticket, which you have to carry to your exam center on all days of your exams.

To get good results in any exam, be it your school test or the board exam, hard work and regular study is the key. Get your concepts right, study regulary and put in some extra effort to get good results.

If you have more doubts, please write back.
