There are certain eligibility criteria for applying to Diploma in IT.  the student should have passed 10th or 12th class and the minimum qualifying percentage should be 40. For applying to diploma courses in IT, it is compulsory to have Mathematics and Physics as a subject in Class 11th-12th.

In Karnataka under VTU if you want engineering seat you will have to compulsory have Mathematics as a subject in your class 12. ... It is possible to become an engineer even if you have PCB group but you have to study MATHS and give these both above given exams.

But in some other states like Odisha and many more its okk with students from PCB apply for diploma In IT
