No, the students are not allowed to carry pen or pencil in the examination room.

Pen(Ball-pen) / Pencil and blank paper sheets for rough work will be provided in the examination room by the invigilators only.

The students have to carry these documents before entering the examination room:

• JEE Admit card
• One passport size photograph, same as the one uploaded with application form.
• Original and valid Photo Identification Proof i.e.,PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card.

No stationary items are allowed in the examination hall of NEET. Only admit card and ID proof will be permitted inside the exam hall. Everything else will be provided to you in the exam hall itself. To write the NEET exam, candidates will be provided with a ballpoint pen.
