You can absolutely change your stream. Commerce has very logical subjects and the knowledge would never go waste. 

Managerial skills are going to be useful for lifetime. 

Commerce has generally more options and you'll get to learn many new things

Don't get de-motivated if you're changing streams, choose what you wish to study and become. 

It's very easy to cope up with those subjects.

You can change your stream after 12th doesn't matter if you studied with science (bio or non bio).

And also you can change your stream even if you taken admission in any college,but you need to qualify entrance exams of any course you want to pursue.

We understand your concern. PLease note that it depends whetwther you can shift or not on the type of non medical stream which you are talking about, because some college do allow it and some dont.Moreover most of the times there is no advantage of doing so as there would be no career growth.All the best!
