Let me tell you that choice filling is the most important step before colllege admissions.JOSAA gives you enough time for choice filling,and the sequence that you have filled during choice filling is updated and locked at a certain date.And then you can't change the preference,since it gets locked.

So,if you participate in Round1 with that preference list,you will not be able to change your preference list in further rounds of counselling.

So,if the date is valid to certain time period,you can easliy change the preference list but if the end date has gone,then your choices will be automatically locked and now nothing can be done,you will have to compromise with your original preference list.

The preference list of JOSAA counselling has been locked now. Now, you cannot change the order in any case till the last normal rounds. But when the spot round counselling will begin, the candidate will be required to set up a new preference list of colleges as per the rank. But before spot rounds, you cannot change the order of the list. Good luck.
