can we do LLB from correspondence?

Hello,

Law program in distance mode isn't recognized by Bar Council of India, so it's better you pursue it in regular mode, also law as a subject has theoretical concepts and practical applications.

Law program is of two types, first is integrated one based on 10+2 qualification for a duration of five years in many forms such as BA-LLB, BBA-LLB,BCom-LLB.While the three year duration LLB is based on graduation degree.

Eligibility of integrated law program is having passed 10+2 from a recogized board with minimum 50% aggregate, there's relaxation of 5% in case of reserved category.

There are others entrance test as well conducted by top universities for admission to integrated five year law program which you can give such as-

CLAT, conducted by NLUs and other private colleges.
AILET, conducted by National Law University, Delhi
LSAT scores are accepted by many law schools such as Jindal Global Law School, Sonepat
SET, by Symbiosis Law Schools Pune & Noida
CET of GGS Indraprastha University, Delhi which scores are accepted by 6 law schools including USL, LS and Amity Law School, Delhi

Panjab University, AMU Aligarh for admission into Faculty of Law, AMU, Jamia Milia conducts their own  admission test.


Now,coming to LLB for which Eligibility Criteria is Candidates needs to have passed Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with 45% marks, for reserved category it's 40%. Universities like DU & BHU require minimum 50% marks while Universities Kurukshetra, Rohtak, Meerut require merely 45% marks in graduation.

Some of the top universities which conduct admission for LLB via entrance test are as follows ;

DU LLB conducted by Delhi University,
BHU UET by BHU,
LSAT scores are accepted by many reputed universities,
LAT by University of Allahabad

Apart from this we have state level law exams for five and three years law program such as
TS LAWCET, its scores are accepted by colleges & universities in Telangana, its scores are accepted by colleges & universities
AP LAWCET, its scores are accepted by colleges & universities in Andhra Pradesh
MAH LAWCET, its scores are accepted by colleges & universities in Maharashtra
KLEE, its scores are accepted by colleges & universities in Kerela
