, As per your query about duration 5 month is sufficient or not...I would like to mention even from today i.e. 22/11/2017 its more than 5 months mean more than 150 days....

As you said you are taking a drop and taking NEET UG 2018, First, i would like to say you have got some added advantage -

You have already passed 12th ,so no worry for board exam.

Some strategies that you should inherit to boost your performance

1. Make you own time table ,other than that of coaching - Shorter and achievable small targets

2. Focus on limited books - NCERT + Some reference (Allen Modules in your case)

3. Solve MCQS daily in a time limit - Understand where you are doing most mistakes, Correct it, retry

4. Understand all options of previous year MCQS ...As EXACT question is not repeated BUT related questions are....

5. Have patience and be positive

6. POSITIVE SURROUDING - Discuss with friends who can help you stay positive not the one who brings negativity

7. Maintain your health

Above points will definitely help you

If you want to comlete it, it will.
Cutoff the time from everything else and just add that up to your studying.
Make a timetable according to the time preffered but try to make it large as much as you can.now its your race and you are a bit farther than others so you have to run faster than others.
Don't be afraid much, but be that much afraid which can motivate you to study.

Hello Rajat,

Study the concepts in depth, don't read superficially.

Try to clock 100 hours a week.

Maintain your health

Sleep is crucial, else you'll get exhausted before time.

Form a study group, discuss with friends

Stay motivated.

No pain no gain, you won't get this opportunity again. Make the most of it.

Donot waste time, invest time.

Revisions are the most important

It is said that hand written notes are well remembered than printed material, make your own notes, keep reading it again and again.

The best books you can refer to are the NCERT,

For biology, refer the following.

1) Trueman's Biology vol 1 and vol 2

2) Dinesh- Objective biology

3) Pradeep publication Biology

4) GRB'S Publication Biology.

For Physics refer to he following books.

1) H.C.Verma - Concepts of Physics.

2) D.C Pandey - Objective Physics.

3) Fundamentals of physics by Walker

4) Problems in Physics by I.E.Irodov

For chemistry you can refer the following books

1) O.P Tandon - Physical Chemistry

2) Morrison and Boyd - Organic Chemistry

3) Modern ABC's of chemistry

4) J.D.Lee Inorganic chemistry

5) Dinesh

Ncerts are mandatory to have, refer the rest of the books and find out which one suits you. I would advice you not to buy all the books but to refer them and see which one is better for you.

In the end it doesn't depend upon which book is better but how good can you understand the concepts

Also, for the general knowledge subscribe magazines, they will be useful.

Hope this helps.

Goodluck!

Hello Rajat Kumar Legal,

Hope you are doing good.

Yes It's possible to prepare for NEET in five months.

You are a dropper so you even have an idea about what NEET really is and where you have to invest time.

It all comes down to how much dedication and hard work you put in.

If you study for more hours in a day it will be helpful for you.

Smart study is important instead of doing it all together.

And Afterall it's only about the extra effort you put in that makes you stand out of the crowd.

Hope this helps.

And hope this answers your question.

Thank you.

Definitely it's tough to complete 2 year syllabus in 5 months but u should surely try .
For biology it would be enough if u read ncert thoroughly .
For chemistry u need to practice questions for physical as well as organic chemistry . inorganic won't be too tough if u study it from ncert .
For physics u would be needing some help besides practicing questions u must be needing a teacher to solve ur queries .
And practice a lot .
Study daily as many hours as u can .
And every day when u sleep make a list of things what u r going to do the next day .this won't let u waste ur time and always complete what u decide .
Every day make list in which u should keep one chapter u like and other which u don't like and do the one u like in the evening so that u won't leave it because u will be tired by evening.

Hi Rajat Kumar

Some GOLDEN tips for the preparation of NEET

  • Firstly, gather all the details about the officially prescribed syllabus for the examination.
  • Make a proper time-table for your preparations.
  • Follow the time table strictly and increase your potential day by day.
  • Consider the good preparation books and study materials.
  • Practice mock test & previous year question papers.
  • Make mistakes while practising, and correct them and never repeat them.
  • Never give up even at your low time.
  • Stay stress free & healthy while preparing for exams.
  • Don’t try to include new topics at the end of preparations.

All the Best.
