Yes , depends on which hostel you are going into. There are many hostel especially for students studying in primary level , secondary level and higher secondary level which don't allow usage of phones and doesn't allow students to keep those gadgets. Most of the private hostels allow phones and the hostels of colleges too allow usage of phones .
