Hey Aamir , Nowadays it's difficult or you can say not possible to got admission in engineering colleges directly. Most of the colleges take admission via JEE or other state engineering entrance examinations. Some of the private colleges take there own intrance examination. Thus , for taking admission either in govt or in private you must have to clear intrance examinations for respective colleges.
