There are several institutes and group of institues conducting various entrance exams for MBA, some of the prominent being CAT, XAT, SNAP, NMAT, IIFT, MICAT, CMAT, MAH-CET, MAT and so on. The shortlist and GDPI phase of admissions is hence at different time for different colleges. If we look at the top institutes offering MBA, old IIMs may have their GDPI process until April half. 

Some of the institutes which have released their admission shortlists include NMIMS (Mumbai and other campuses), some of the Symbiosis institutes, SIMSR, IRMA, TAPMI, Great Lakes.

Some are yet to start the GDPI process such as baby IIMs, DSE.

Also there will be admission based on waiting list movement as students take admission at institutes of higher preference to them.

Hence final admit list may get delayed by different extents for different bschools and prominent bschools may wind it up by mid-May to June beginning. Kindly look at the official institute website for approximate date of the institutes you are interested in.

GD PI phase for all the colleges are different. Therefore you must be clear in mind for which college you want to know the date. According to that, you should prepare for the entrance exam and take admission.
