The CBSE Class 10 Science blueprint for the academic year 2024-25 is structured as follows :

Total Marks: 80 marks for the theory paper with an additional 20 marks allocated for internal assessments ,  total is 100 marks.

Duration: 3 hours

Question Types : The exam includes multiple-choice questions (MCQs), assertion-reasoning questions, source-based questions and subjective questions.

Competency-Based Questions : Approximately 50% of the questions will assess students' critical and analytical thinking skills .

Chapter-Wise Weightage: The syllabus is divided into five units, each with specific chapters and corresponding marks .
