Hi bro, until and unless earth exists, every branch has its importance, because for living we need houses, for work, we need laptops, mobiles, etc. So, every branch has its strength. As far as the placements are considered, we see most branches go for IT companies at the end, but with little hardwork, with that little extra effort, you can crack a job in your own branch.

Hello, Its a totally relative matter. If you are interested in counstruction of bulding, bridges etcs you must choose Civil engineering. But if you have interest in softwares,  information and communication technology then you must choose ECE. You must note that even if you are studying in top engineering colleges such as IITs, VIT, SRM etc you will have low chances of placement for civil engineering whereas ECE has way more placement opportunities. Also, ECE is now in demand , and even if you pursue ECE from tier 3 college you will have ample of opportunities.

Hope it helps  to clear your dilemma, thankyou!
