CMS College of Science and Commerce is a great institute for higher studies at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The college was founded by the CMS Educational and Charitable Trust, a non-profit organization. It is affiliated to Bharathiar University and approved by the AICTE & UGC.  The college surroundings has lots of greenery, and the environment is peaceful. The fee structure is average compared to other colleges. Professors are very well qualified and very supportive to students. Teaching quality is also good. They do not give high pressure on the students to study. Overall, the faculty members are very good.

In B.Sc. biotechnology department, the labs are good and well equipped with the latest aids of teaching. The library has many books written by famous authors. The hostel is average. Quality of food is good. Sports and games facilities are very good. Rooms are not that good but adjustable. There are 5 hostels, of which 3 are for boys and 2 for girls.

Around 75% of the students get placed in various companies every year. The highest package offered is 6LPA, and the lowest package offered was 3LPA. Biocon Limited is the top recruiting company in the college. Around 80% of the students get internships in various companies. Lab technician is the top role offered to the students in the course.
