hello billu,

no GATE is not compulsory for private colleges.for iit's and nit's you must take GATE entrance exam.it will be easiest way of admission for m.tech.you'll be able to get stipend upto 15k too.so it is depends on the college in which you wanna admission.if it is government colleges,then gate will be compulsory.
