Yes, it is certainly possible, you have to write GATE and choose subject in GATE as Computer Engineering

While filling up the form for GATE you have to specify for which subject you wish to appear, you have to select Computer Engineering there, you need to prepare for it

If you appeared for GATE paper Code ME (Mechanical Engineering) you can't get admission in Computer Engineering, appear for GATE next year with Computer Engineering as subject
