CUET 2022 Exam pattern

There are 4 classifications

• Section IA – 13 Languages
• Section IB – 19 Languages
• Section II – 27 Domain-specific Subjects
• Section III – General Test

There are two slots in this exam.

Slot-1

You can nominate a limit of 4 exams in Slot 1.

This constitutes one language from Section IA, the limit of two domain-specific subjects (Section II) and one General exam (Section III).

For slot 2

One language from Section IA & IB and a limit of four domain-specific subjects from Section II. OR

Two languages from Section IA & IB and a limit of three domain-specific subjects from Section II.

Language section

1A (language test subjects)

• Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, English, Bengali, Punjabi, and Odia.

1B( elective language)

• 19 languages. Prefeanyonene
• French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, and Chinese.

Domain-specific subjects.

B1

• Accountancy/Book Keeping, Biology/ Biological Studies/ Biotechnology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science/ Informatics Practices, Economics/Business Economics, History, Home Science, Legal Studies, Environmental Studies, Mathematics, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, and Sanskrit.

B2

• Engineering Graphics, Entrepreneurship, Knowledge Tradition Practises in India, Fine Arts/ Visual Arts/ Commercial Arts, Teaching Aptitude, Agriculture, Mass Media/Mass Communication, Physical Education/NCC/Yoga, and Performing Arts.

General Test

Subjects

• General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic/algebra geometry/mensuration/s tat taught till Grade 8), Logical and Analytical Reasoning.

According to your subject selection, you will be allotted the slots. So, if your subject selection is any one of the above you can know your slot. You have mentioned that you have Biology, Physics and Chemistry, so you will have slot 1.
