From 2019 onwards the ranking system will be on the basis of percentile scored by the student.

Let me first told you what actually percentile means
Suppose 10 lakh student appears in JEE main. And your rank is 10000 then you are 99 percentile

If you are confused in the process of percentile and ranking system. Then let me try you to understand.

Till 2018 students get their rank through the scores.
Now this rank will be converted into percentile just like I've shown above. And admission to any notes or IIIT or gfti will be on the basis of percentile scored.
For some clearance percentile will be 7 upto decimal.
For eg. 99.8657341 percentile.

Although it's not cleared about the admission process or counselling process . So I wish in coming months this should be very clear to us.
