Ideas regarding noble proffesion varies from person to person and everybody thinks differently about it. Reservation system dates back a long time and was put up to provide opportunities to the less privileged who didn't have the same  resources as others. This system might seem outdated in today's time but it has been there for a long time and it isn't going anywhere soon . It's best not to think about it when you can't do anything against iy and concentrate on your performance in the exams.
