Hello, you haven't said about the entrance your Friend has appeared. If the exam is JEE main then your friend  can get NIT or IIIT for the courses mentioned by you.
The rank is good enough to get a reputed college admission.if the entrance is not jee main then please mention the entrance name then I can answer your question.

It's really good. You can apply for IITs for sure. Choose any IIT for admission. There may be low possible for high rated IITs like bombay campus.
Search for the merit and apply for it.
