Hey,
We know that Cp-Cv= r
But we also know that, Cp-Cv= R/M (M is the molecular weight)
Therefore, r=R/M.
Now, for hydrogen, Cp-Cv=a
So, a=R/2 ( 2 is molecular weight of hydrogen)
For nitrogen,
b = R/28
So, ratio a/b =( R/2)/ (R/28)
a=14b
Hope this helps!
