The number of opportunities for both CSE and IT stream is more in the Private firms and Corporations than the Government Sectors.

But if you are only interested to know about government sector, the number of opportunities for a CS Professional is more than a IT expert, because a CS Professional deals with both the Software and Hardware components of the system.
