This is the right time for you to begin the preparation for the JEE entrance exam. I would suggest the following steps that you should follow as you aspire to crack the JEE entrance exam. I believe that with the right kind of planning and preparation you might be able to score more than 100 marks as well. Syllabus - First and foremost you should know the JEE Syllabus that is for Mains as well as for JEE Advanced. This will help you to identify what are you weak and strong areas. You will be able to assess how much time you will need to devote for each subject and topics and for this you are the best judge. Once you know how much of time you need for each of them, you will be able to draw a clear cut time table for yourself. Exam Pattern- Once you know the syllabus, then you should also know the exam pattern as in how many questions will be asked, which topics are given more weightage, what is the marking scheme like, if there is negative marking, then how many marks will be deducted as well as the duration of the exam. These things will enable you to draw a strategy for the exam day as in how much time you will have to spend on each section. Sample papers and past years question papers- Once you go through the syllabus and exam pattern , then you should go through the past years question papers to see what type of questions are asked. At this stage, the objective is to acclimatise yourself with the type of questions that are asked. Right now it is not advisable to solve them. List of Books- It is very important that you study from the right kind of books and appropriate study material. This will help in focussed preparation. You can check the links that are given below to know about the books from where you can study. JEE Main Books for Physics Concepts of Physics Vol I and II by H.C. You should keep daily targets which are realistic, followed by weekly and monthly targets. Make sure you move forward only after you meet the set targets. Your aim should be to finish all the three subjects by September 2018. Prepare short notes- While preparing for the entrance exam, please prepare short notes as this will help you in the last minute to revise and it is
