Candidates will be examined in Literature in English, Literature in India and Other Parts of the World, English in India, Literary and Cultural Theories, Non-Literary Artistic Forms, the Relationship between Literature, Culture and
Society, and Practical Criticism of given literary pieces. The objective of the test is to select those who demonstrate not just in -depth knowledge of literature and culture, but literary sensibility and a capacity for original thinking. The exam pattern will be in the form of 100 objective questions.
