Some of the most important issues that emerge during enforcement of national environment legislation are-

1)The precautionary principle-This principle deals with the risks and uncertainties faced by environmental management.

2)The polluter-pays principle- This principle says that a polluter should pay for the damaged caused by some development.

3)Freedom of information-This principle says that environmental planning and management could be hindered in case people or the official bodies are unaware about the development taking place or do not have sufficient information.
