The main features of town planning of the Indus civilization are the drainage system, the grid pattern, the lower and upper town, the great bath, and the residential buildings. One of the most striking attributes of Indus Valley culture is its town arranging. The Harappa culture was known for its authority on metropolitan preparation.

Drainage System:-

Huge sewers were dug on the two sides of the streets, with consumed blocks used to develop them. The channels were not noticeable since they were covered. These channels went through the town and out to the edges, where they got together with a huge well.

Each house's little depletes were associated with a huge channel that stumbled into the front of the house. Subsequently, each house's wastewater and asylums were in the long run exhausted to a huge well outside of town. The innovation aided the anticipation of terrible smells and defilement.

Grid Pattern:-

The Harappa and Mohen-Jo Dero's roads were set out in a network structure and adjusted east to west. Each crossing was vertical, with a light post at the convergence. Houses were developed on the two sides of the interstates.

Lower and Upper town :

The lower level was on level ground, while the upper level was on a misleadingly built hill (additionally named an acropolis).

The acropolis housed the city's most significant constructions, including gathering corridors, strict designs, silos, and, on account of Mohenjo-Daro, the large shower and the lower town housed the inhabitants.

Private structures:

The private constructions were generally made of block and had an open patio flanked by rooms. These designs were developed of uniform prepared and sun-dried blocks. There were even various levels and cleared floors in a portion of the homes.
