It is established in 1964, it is one of the top ten colleges in chennai. The college offers lots of programs for undergraduate, postgraduate students. Recently they are conducting research programmes as well. The college had started with one course only ,that is BSc in mathematics.

It offers courses from distinctive fields such ad art, science, commerce, law, technology, enginnering, management studies, journalism etc.

Admissions are based on the 10+2 marks for undergraduate students. For post graduation, one should appear for TANCET examination ,which is Tamilnadu common entrance test.

The college offers plenty of scholarship to meritorious students. It had collaborated with many reputated institutes both nationally and internationally.
