for eligibility purpose you should have 50% in 12 board exams if you are an general candidate so that you can appear for neet and for obc, sc/st you should have 40% in board exams.

Hey ,
Yes the marks of 10 and 12th are taken for consideration . If you and another candidate score same marks in NEET then in that case your 12th marks are seen and even if 12 th are also same then 10th , whichever candidate has more score in 12th and 10th , he will get the preference . Plus it is mandatory to get atleast 60% in all the subjects in 12th to persue Mbbs .

12th Class marks are not considered in deciding the NEET rank. NEET rank is totally based on the how one performs in the NEET entrance exam.


One should pass physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology, english individually in qualifying exam and should have at least 50% aggregate in PCB.

If you belong to SC/ST/OBC category then minimum marks you need is 40%.
