What is the difference between Undergraduate and Postgraduate
NEET UG is an Entrance Exam for the undergraduate programmes to get admission to the students for MBBS & BDS. Whereas the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduation (NEET PG) is the only entrance examination to various MD/MS and PG Diploma courses in India.
Eligibility Criteria for NEET UG :
The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-technology at the qualifying examination.
For persons for locomotor disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required.
Eligibility Criteria for NEET PG:
Candidate must possess a recognized MBBS degree or pass certificate.
Candidates must have a permanent or provisional registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.
Candidates who completed their MBBS in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir will not be eligible for All India 50% Quota seats unless they had done their MBBS as Government of India nominees for Central Pool seats.
