In primary succession rock appear is colonised by living things for the first time.

In secondary succession an area prepared by living things is disturbed then it is recolonised after disturbance by living things.

Primary succession example eruption of volcanoes. The flowing lava flows into the ocean creates a rock.

Example of secondary succession of is Oak and hicory forest is cleared by  wild fire. Wildfire destroy every thing living animals and living trees and forest.
