If we compare the difficulty level of JEE Mains and JEE Advanced than JEE Advanced is harder as

• Only objective questions are asked in JEE Mains while in JEE Advanced the questions are more concept based and analytical.
• JEE Mains questions are based on objective knowledge of the syllabus while JEE Advanced questions are more focused on in-depth knowledge with the no fixed exam pattern.
• For preparation of JEE Advanced all topics should be studied in a detailed manner as the exam pattern is vague and not disclosed and as we know the questions will be analytical and fully concept based.

JEE mains is the first step those students who qualify JEE mains they give jee advance.
