Hello there!

Greetings!

A solution is simply a homogeneous mixture of two or more components in which the particle size is smaller than 1 nm.

Important points or properties of solution is listed below :-

    • It is a homogeneous mixture.
    • The particles are too tiny and have a diameter less than 1 nm and are not visible to naked eyes.
    • A beam of light passing through the solution doesn't get scattered  and hence the path of the light is not visible.
    • Solutes are inseparable from the mixture and do not sediment i.e  solution is stable.
    • The components of a mixture i.e solute and solvent  cannot be separated using filtration.
  • Thankyou

Dear Ganesh,
I would like to explain you solutions.
A solution is a homogeneous mixture of one or more solutes dissolved in a solvent.

  • solvent: the substance in which a solute dissolves to produce a homogeneous mixture

  • solute: the substance that dissolves in a solvent to produce a homogeneous mixture

Example of solution is Sugar dissolved in water.  Water is the solvent and sugar is the solute.

i hope you understand the concept of solutions

All the best
