Hii Richard,

After studying 10th , Polytechnic or Diploma degree is the option to Study a 3 year degree. Generally Diploma is a degree for the technical Background. But Diploma and Polytechnic are the same after studying 10th. To do Polytechnic or Diploma degree one should write the POLYCET exam.
